INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING YOUR LABS AT QUEST DIAGNOSTICS:
Quest Diagnostics is an independent private lab for blood work, and it has locations across the nation. Your lab order is electronically sent over to Quest Diagnostics. It will be entered within 24-48 hours of your meeting with your clinician at Dignity Weight Center.

*Fasting
Lab results are most accurate while fasting, so please try not to eat anything for at least 12 hours before your appointment. For instance, for your convenience, you could have an 8:30 AM lab appointment so your fasting overlaps with sleep.
*Before they draw your blood
Quest Diagnostics is a separate company than us, and they bill your insurance for their lab services. Before your blood is drawn, ask Quest Diagnostics if any labs are NOT covered by insurance. If any labs are not covered by your insurance, Quest Diagnostics likely will ask you to pay for them before your blood is drawn. Do not feel obligated to agree to any labs that aren’t covered by your insurance.
*Results
Results will arrive in 1-3 weeks, and we will review them together.
